These were in my fathers files so I still consider them Ed Parker's
notes be because he found value in them and placed them in his notes.
FROM CURT COKELEY -
BORROWED WEAPON - Involves defending yourself against a weapon, disarming
the weapon, and then using your opponent's weapon against himself or
his assistants.
COLLAPSING STRIKE - An existing strike, which
when dropped, gravitates into a secondary offense.
DIRECT TORQUE - The synchronization of body torque
and strike as they both move in the same direction.
DIVERSIFIED FORCE - Distinct forces that travel in separate angles
that oppose the principle of directional disharmonyœ. The
scattering of these forces proportionately decreases the effectiveness
of the strike.
INDIRECT TORQUE - The synchronization of body
torque and strike as they both move in opposite directions.
SCANNING - Use of peripheral vision to note the
specifics of your environment in order to help you decipher the proper
strategy
to be used.
SCANNING FOR COVER - The turning of your eyes
and head to ensure a 360 degree field of vision so that your route
of escape is free
from encumbrances when covering out.
WEAPON - TRANSFERRING - The shifting of a weapon(s)
(club, knife, gun, etc.) from one hand to another or from one position
to another,
without danger of dropping it, loosing it, or having it taken away.
